Edinburgh Street Photography
2025
This body of work explores the quiet theatre of everyday life in Edinburgh. Drawn to fleeting gestures, layered streets, and moments that sit just on the edge of the ordinary, these photographs reflect a city shaped as much by its people as by its stone, weather, and history.
Working instinctively, I look for visual tension, light and shadow, isolation and crowd, humour and melancholy, allowing scenes to unfold rather than be arranged. Edinburgh’s streets offer a rich backdrop where past and present constantly overlap, and where small, human moments can feel timeless.
This portfolio isn’t about landmarks or spectacle. It’s about pauses, passing glances, and the subtle narratives that reveal themselves when you slow down and pay attention.
