Egypt, Luxor & Hurghada

2025

This folder brings together photographs made while moving through Luxor and Hurghada, two places that sit at very different edges of Egypt. In Luxor, history presses in on the present, light, texture and human gesture unfolding in the shadow of monuments that have outlived centuries. Hurghada, by contrast, feels more transient and contemporary, shaped by the sea, tourism and moments of pause between movement. Rather than chasing spectacle, these images focus on quieter observations: how people occupy space, how light falls across walls and faces, and how everyday life continues alongside the extraordinary. Together, the photographs form a loose visual diary, fragments of time, place and atmosphere, seen while passing through.
