Hidden amongst the ancient trees and shadowed pathways of Margam Country Park in Wales, the deer move with a quiet majesty. When following the herd, each moment you get with them feels delicate and unforgettable. I aimed to capture the glint of awareness in their eyes, the twitch of their muscle fibres and their antlers framed against dark woodland textures. Capturing them is never rushed. It’s the reward for patience, luck, stillness, and respect for their space. They are both strong and vulnerable creatures and it’s humbling to be in their presence.
